About Me

I’m Jo, a novelist who writes romance, and someone who pays attention to the ordinary days around the work.

I write fiction grounded in place: the coast, the city, the quiet magic of familiar landscapes. Stories are everywhere, if you notice long enough.

At My Magnolia Soul, I share fragments from a working writer’s life. You’ll find reflections and essays on this life and what it is to be human; vlogs about the everyday, creativity, and the coast where I live; and occasional, honest talk about the business of being a writer — the good, the frustrating, and the procrastination.

Alongside my own work, I sometimes support other writers through editorial guidance or quiet encouragement to finish projects. It’s not something I actively promote; I’ve found the right people tend to find me naturally.

Most days you’ll find me writing, wandering around with a camera, and gently unjumbling my thoughts — usually while being supervised by our spaniel, who remains convinced she’s far too pretty to ever be considered properly naughty.
